Patriots Children's Miracle Network of FMU to host concert announcing gift, April 8
Patriots Children’s Miracle Network of Francis Marion University will host a concert featuring the FMU Music Industry Ensemble on Tuesday, April 8, announcing the total donation it will make to the McLeod Children’s Hospital, an affiliate of the Children’s Miracle Network.
The event will be held in McNair Science Building’s Chapman Auditorium at 7 p.m. and is free and open to the public. A culmination of fundraising efforts from earlier in the semester and those planned for Tuesday, March 25 – Saturday, March 29, the group will formally announce their gift at this event.
Events planned for the week include:
Tuesday, March 25 – Carnival and organizational games, University Commons Lawn at FMU
Thursday, March 27 – Bake sale, Fine Arts Center Breezeway at FMU
Saturday , March 29 – Car Wash, O’Reilly Auto Parts at 2107 W. Palmetto St.
The chamber ensemble is directed by Dr. Brandon Goff, assistant professor of music, and is devoted to the development of individual performance and improvisation skills through the preparation and staging of music for small groups representing a variety of classic and modern jazz, pop, rock and soul styles.
