Christian pop legend Amy Grant coming to the PAC, Sept. 26
Five-time Grammy winner Amy Grant, the only Christian pop star to take an album Platinum, will be in concert at the Francis Marion University Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 26.
Tickets for Grant’s Florence performance will go on sale Wednesday, July 30 at 10 a.m. online and at the PAC box office. Ticket prices start at $59. Top seats are $99.
Grant’s storied career includes an astonishing 13 albums that reached Gold status or higher. Included in that number are four Platinum or multi-Platinum albums. She has sold more than 30 million units worldwide.
Grant made her name in the then-emerging world of Contemporary Christian music, but has also been a successful crossover artist, with numerous chart toppers outside the Christian genre. Her six number one hits include “Baby, Baby,” “Every Heartbeat,” “That’s What Love is for,” “I Will Remember You,” “Lucky One,” and “Next Time I Fell.”
Over the years, Grant has continued to expand her repertoire and reputation. Her most recent work, the 2013 album release “How Mercy Looks from Here,” featured a new, more soulful sound and a lyrical maturity that left critics gushing. It debuted at number one on the Christian charts.
A longtime Nashville resident, Grant is as well known for her philanthropy as her music. She and husband, singer/songwriter Vince Gill, have been tireless in their efforts to aid worthy causes around Nashville and across the nation.
Grant’s stop continues the string of high-powered, big name acts coming to the Performing Arts Center. Earlier this year, the intimate, acoustically acclaimed venue hosted Travis Tritt, Ricky Skaggs, Marty Stuart, Clint Black and the Indigo Girls.
Music legend Lyle Lovett will be at the PAC on Saturday, Aug. 30. A few tickets remain for that performance.
Tickets for the Lyle Lovett event are already on sale. As noted, tickets for Amy Grant go on sale at 10 a.m. on July 30.
