Garrett named Ms. FMU
FLORENCE – First runner-up in the Ms. FMU pageant at Francis Marion University, junior Marie Garrett, has been named Ms. FMU.
Ariel Graham, named Ms. FMU in April, 1999, became unable to fulfill her obligations and Garrett became the 1999-2000 Ms. FMU, according to Tricia Turner, FMU coordinator of student life.
Garrett, a graduate of Aiken High School, is a mass communication major and the daughter of Stephanie Powers.
In the April pageant, Garrett was selected as Ms. Congeniality. She will serve as Ms. FMU until March, 2000. This is the third pageant competition for Garrett.
