FLORENCE -- The following alumni have been selected to serve the remainder of the 1998-2000 term (through June 2000) as Alumni Association Officers.

Jim Spears '94 (M.B.A.), director of marketing for Darlington Veneer Company, will serve as president.  Spears most recently served as vice president of the alumni association and chairman of the M.B.A.Alumni Council.

Vice-president is Kendal Shelley ’72 (B.S., business administration).  Shelley is general manager of Kmart in Florence and previously served as secretary/treasurer of the alumni association. 

Shirley Bausmith '91, '94 (B.S., elementary education and M.Ed., remediation (at-risk) and certification) will serve as secretary/treasurer: Bausmith  is currently working on a doctoral degree at the University of South Carolina and is a part-time instructor at FMU.  Bausmith is co-chairman of the student relations committee of the alumni association advisory board.
