FLORENCE---Francis Marion University will cancel classes beginning today, Tuesday (Sept. 14), at 5 p.m. through Thursday (Sept. 16) due to the uncertainty of weather conditions from approaching Hurricane Floyd.
University offices will remain open and employees will work until the governor makes a decision on the status of state agencies.
President Carter has activated the university’s emergency planning group to make contingency plans for the storm.
