Prospective students, alumni meet FMU Patriots on Tour

FLORENCE - Francis Marion University is hosting a reception to introduce alumni and prospective students and their families, living in the low country of South Carolina.  The reception will be Tuesday, Sept. 21 at 6 p.m. in the Town and Country Inn & Conference Center, 2008 Savannah Hwy., Charleston.

Thermo Information Solutions, Inc will sponsor the reception.

Prospective FMU students and their families will get a chance to meet university faculty, administration, and area alumni.  Part of the “Patriots on Tour,” university representatives have been meeting during September in spots around the state, answering questions about the FMU college experience.

"This is a great opportunity for alumni to get re-acquainted with FMU, learn what's new at the university, and meet members of the faculty and administration, " said Kelly Sellers, director of alumni affairs.

Students, who have an interest in attending FMU or learning more about the university, and their parents, are invited to attend, said Drucilla Shelton, director of admissions at FMU.  The receptions will provide an informal setting for alumni, prospective students, their families, and the FMU officials to get to know one another.

For more information about the “Patriots on Tour,” contact Sellers at 843-661-1228 or Shelton at 843-661-1231 or 1-800-368-7551.
