Prospective students, alumni meet FMU Patriots on Tour at Wallace Hall

FLORENCE - Francis Marion University is hosting a reception at Wallace Hall, the home of FMU President Fred Carter, to introduce prospective university students and their families to faculty, administration, and area alumni, on Thursday, Sept. 30 at 6 p.m.

Florence County alumni and area students interested in attending the university and their families are invited to the FMU campus residence.  Ken & Debbie Jackson and Taylor Garden & Gift Shop are sponsors of the reception.

The reception is one of several “Patriots on Tour” receptions held around the state in September to link university representatives and current FMU students, with folks seeking more information about the FMU college experience.

"This is a great opportunity for alumni to get re-acquainted with FMU, learn what's new at the university, and meet members of the faculty and administration, " said Kelly Sellers, director of alumni affairs.

Students, who have an interest in attending FMU or learning more about the university, and their parents, are invited to attend, said Drucilla Shelton, director of admissions at FMU.  The receptions provide an informal setting for alumni, prospective students, their families, and the FMU officials to get to know one another.

For more information about the “Patriots on Tour,” contact Sellers at 843-661-1228 or Shelton at 843-661-1231 or 1-800-368-7551.
