FLORENCE---Francis Marion University has been selected to host the third national conference of the Council of Applied Master’s Programs in Psychology (CAMPP) in the year 2000.
The conference will be held June 22-25 next year, and more than 150 university psychologists from around the country are expected to attend.
Gary Hanson, former chairman of the Department of Psychology and Sociology, and current chair of the faculty, said that Northamerican Association of Masters in Psychology (NAMP) would hold its annual convention at the same time. “This will allow master’s-level trainers and practitioners to exchange ideas and pursue common interests during this joint meeting,” he said.
The group will utilize FMU meeting rooms, residence halls, food service and support of the faculty and staff to hold this conference on the campus.
FMU’s master’s program in psychology is accredited by CAMPP.
