FLORENCE -Francis Marion University's Department of Education is hosting a reception and information session Wednesday, July 21, from 1-3 p.m., and Saturday, Aug. 7, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. to introduce students to the new master's degree programs for the teaching professional.
Beginning in the fall, the new graduate degree program at FMU will feature relevant clinical experience, a full course in technology for instruction, a capstone course, and will provide the professional educator with a portfolio that uniquely represents the graduate's studies.
Newly designed courses will enable the student to use research and assessment skills for practical solutions to school problems. The capstone course in the program replaces comprehensive examinations. For more information about the new program or the information sessions, call 843-661-1460.
