FLORENCE – The Francis Marion University Accounting Society has announced 1999 scholarship recipients.
Analisa Duggan of Florence, a FMU School of Business accounting graduate, has been awarded a 1998-99 Certified Management Accountant/Certified in Financial Management Mentor Scholarship of the Institute of Management Accountants.
Duggan is currently enrolled in the FMU Master of Business Administration degree program and is a member of the Florence Area Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants. She is employed at Branch Bankers and Trust as a Regional Financial Analyst.
Ricky Cox of Wallace, and Cindy Rogers and Brian Williamson, both of Florence, have been named recipients of the 1998-99 Florence Area Chapter CMA/CFM Scholarships.
Cox is a graduate of the FMU School of Business management degree program and a student in the FMU M.B.A. degree program. Rogers is a graduate of the FMU School of Business accounting program and a student in the FMU M.B.A. degree program. She is employed at Heritage Sportswear, Inc.
Williamson is a graduate of the FMU School of Business accounting program and a student in the FMU M.B.A. degree program. He is employed at Trayco, Inc.
Kristen Palles of Florence, was named the Finance 1998-99 recipient of the CFM Mentor Scholarship of the Institute of Management Accountants. Palles, a College of Charleston mathematics degree graduate, is a student in the FMU M.B.A. degree program.
The scholarships awarded cover the cost of professional exam fees required for certification in specific area of expertise.
