Hank Jones to perform at Art's Alive

FLORENCE – A former Florence sheriff’s officer, Henry “Hank” Jones, will perform at the 22nd annual Art’s Alive! celebration Saturday, April 24, at Francis Marion University.

A baritone, Jones left his calling in law enforcement in 1993 to pursue a career in acting and singing.  Jones has performed in Florence Little Theatre productions and has sung the National Anthem at various sporting events.

Jones will perform in the Hyman Fine Arts Center, Adele Kassab Recital Hall, at 11 a.m., accompanied by Kevin Carter, tenor, & Robin Thompson, pianist, and again at 2 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center Theatre.

Art’s Alive! is a day-long festival to celebrate the visual and performing arts and begins at 10 a.m.  All events are free.
