Florence Artists Auction Works at FMU

FLORENCE – Forty juried works of prominent area artists will be auctioned at the Francis Marion University Art Auction, Friday, April 23, beginning at 8 p.m.  Proceeds will go to the artists and toward FMU art student travel.

Auctioneers in the April 23 event include Jim Battle, Nicole Boone, Bradley Carter, Allyson Floyd, Ed Freedman, Curt Mattes and Agnes Willcox.  Auction sponsors are Dargan Farms, Fisher Jewelers, Kolor Quick, McIntosh & Lee, Pee Dee Farm Credit and Ridgehope. 

The auction begins with a preview party buffet at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $25 at the door and $20 per reservation.  The auction will be in the Stokes Administration Building Courtyard.  Art will be on display in the Stokes Administration Building beginning at 1 p.m.

The Francis Marion Jazz Ensemble will provide music.  For more information, call Donna Goodman at 843-661-1539.
