University Theatre to perform Williams' "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof"
FLORENCE -- The Francis Marion University Theatre will present Tennessee William's classic "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" Wednesday through Saturday, April 14-17, in the Fine Arts Theatre, Hyman Fine Arts Center at the university.

"Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" is the final 1998-99 theatre season production.  Glen Gourley, assistant professor of theatre and speech, will direct the show. Set design is by FMU associate professor of theatre and speech, David Granath and Amy Sherwood, assistant professor of theatre, will design costumes.

FMU theatre arts majors Darlene Granada of Florence, and Holly Creel of Lake City, will assist the director in the production.

The cast includes Kendall Kiker of Darlington, a theatre arts major; Jason Abernathy of Columbia (29206), a chemistry major; Marcia Kunkel of Elliott City, Md., theatre arts major; Greg Williams of Conway, undecided in his major; Rachael Jebaily of Florence, a theatre arts major; Kate Corea of Churchville, Md., a math major; Brent Ard of Pamplico, a theatre arts major; Will Franklin of Blackstock, a theatre arts major; Kent Gladden of Great Falls, a history major; Rob Jones of Columbia (29210), a theatre arts major; Collen Thorndike of Beavercreek, Ohio, a mass communication major; and Laura Fitzsimmons of Hicksville, N.Y., a theatre arts major.
