FLORENCE -- The Francis Marion University Art Gallery Series will presents various local artists and graduating FMU students in the Hyman Fine Arts Center Art Gallery and in the Smith University Center Art Gallery in the coming months.
The exhibits are free and open to the public Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, from 1-5 p.m.
Exhibiting in the Smith University Center March 30-April 21, are FMU senior visual art majors, Gena Kaltwang of Cheraw, Miriam Smith and Bradley Carter of Florence, and John Clark of McBee. Exhibiting in the Hyman Fine Arts Center March 30-April 21, are FMU senior visual art majors Carter, Carolina Jessen of Mt. Pleasant and Scott McCrea of Andrews.
On display in the Hyman Fine Arts Center April 5-May will be the exhibit “Against the Grain,” woodcuts by the group Osmosis. The group show will feature the work of Midlands artists, Eileen Blyth, Jeff Donovan, Michael Dickens, Christophet MatyJasik, Tom Ogburn and Laura Spong.
On exhibit in the Smith University Center Art Gallery April 24-May 8 will be works by FMU drawing and painting students, and exhibiting in the Hyman Fine Arts Center gallery will be works by FMU ceramics and three-dimensional design students.
