FLORENCE---The Board of Trustees at Francis Marion University has scheduled a meeting via telephone conference call Thursday, March 18, at 11:30 a.m. to discuss the search for a new president of the university.
Board chairman James R. Courie of Columbia requested the conference call of the full board. The presidential search is the only item on the agenda, and Courie said the board will likely go into executive session.
The trustees are seeking a replacement for current president Lee A. Vickers who was named head of Dickinson State University of North Dakota in late February.
