It's nearly spring and music is in the air!

FLORENCE  -- The Francis Marion University chorus and ensembles have spring concerts planned, beginning with the a jazz concert on April 1 and ending with a chorus concert April 22.  All events are free and open to the public.

The FMU Chamber Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Express will be in concert Thursday, April 1, at 8 p.m. in the MSB auditorium.

Tuesday, April 6, will be the monthly First Tuesday Arts Events in the Kassab Recital Hall, Hyman Fine Arts Center, at 7:45 p.m.

On Thursday, April 8, at 8 p.m. in the McNair Science Building auditorium, the FMU Wind Symphony will perform in concert.

On April 18 at 5 p.m. in the McNair Science Building auditorium the Young, Gifted and Black chorus will perform in their annual Spring Extravaganza and CutTime, FMU’s show chorus, will have a performance also on Sunday, April 18, at 5 p.m., in the Kassab Recital Hall.

On Thursday, April 22, at 8 p.m. in the McNair Science Building, the University Concert and Show Choirs will perform. 

And of all the spring performances to catch, Saturday, April 24, is the area’s Art's Alive Festival '99.  The daylong event is a festival of visual and performing arts for the entire family.
