FLORENCE -- Viking Range Corporation, Greenwood, Miss., has promoted Francis Marion University alumnus, Brian Waldrop.  Viking’s vice president-finance, Waldrop has assumed the additional position of Chief Financial Officer, and serves as secretary-treasurer of Viking Range Corporation.

Viking is the originator of commercial-type cooking appliances for homes.

Waldrop, originally from Greenville, S.C., and a graduate of Carolina High School, is a former employee of Frigidaire, who came to Viking in 1991 as an accountant.  He earned his B.S. degree in accounting in 1985 from FMU and is married to Tonya Foshee, formerly of Summerville.
