FLORENCE, S.C. - Francis Marion University will host summer camps for junior and senior high school cheerleading and dance teams, July 15-17.

The camps will be sponsored by the Eastern Cheerleaders Association (ECA) and the Eastern Dance Association (EDA).  The cost of each camp will be $139.  For more information, contact the ECA and EDA office at 1-800-940-4322.

The cheerleading camp will emphasize crowd motivation and involvement.  ECA’s personal instructor program guarantees squads individual assistance throughout the camp.  Squads will learn new cheers, chants, sideline routines, dances, jumps, band dances, “fun” dances, and partner stunts/pyramids.  Participants will also take part in various workshops and squad “rap” sessions.

The dance team camp will include beginner, intermediate, and advanced classes that enable every age and ability group to learn.  Participants will take part in workshops dealing with team building, leadership, goal setting, and other topics.
