FLORENCE -- Ten Florence School District Two (Pamplico) students will shadow staff members in Francis Marion University's Rogers Library on Wednesday, Feb. 2. The shadow program is the library's first.
According to Linda Becote, catalog librarian and coordinator of the FMU "Shadow Day" program, each student will be assigned to a staff member in the library from approximately 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. to observe first hand the library's operations.
The program is part of the American Library Association's program to increase awareness of librarianship as a profession. FMU's Rogers Library is the sixth largest academic library in the state.
