FMU to present concerts

FLORENCE, S.C. - Francis Marion University will present two concerts on campus in April.

The Spring Choral Concert will be Tuesday, April 18, at 8 p.m. in the Adele Kassab Recital Hall in the Hyman Fine Arts Center. The concert will feature performances by the Concert Choir, FMU Singers and Cut Time.

The Concert Choir’s selections will include “Psallite” and  “Canon in D” as well as several folk songs. The FMU Singers will perform “Can’t Help Falling In Love” and “Reflection” from Mulan. Cut Time’s performance will include hits such as “Runaround Sue” and “My Girl.”

The groups are directed by Sue Butler Orr and accompanied by Rebecca M. Culbertson.

On Thursday, April 20, the FMU Wind Symphony will perform at 8 p.m. in the McNair Science Building auditorium.

Selections will include “Flight of the Pegasus,” “A Copland Tribute” and “The Trombone King.”

The FMU Wind Symphony is directed by Craig Alberty.
