FMU ART STUDENTS HAVE WORKS EXHIBITED

FLORENCE – Six Francis Marion University visual art majors were asked to participate in the eighth annual Peach Belt Athletic Conference Student Art Exhibit, at Lander University, Horne Arena, during the recent PBAC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournaments.

Only 43 students from the 12 Peach Belt schools, with a combined enrollment of more than 65,000, were invited to exhibit their work.

Participating from FMU were Javier Boscio of Florence, a sophomore whose work was titled “Desert Sunset” (acrylic); Adrel S. Langley of Johnsonville, a senior whose work was titled “Precious Memories” (Polaroid transfer); Curt Stephen Mattes of Rock Hill, a senior whose work was titled “Industrial Passages” (clay, wood, and metal); Thomas McNulty of Florence, a junior whose work was titled “Chips in Fish” (digital art); Stephanie L. O’Neal of Florence, a senior whose work was titled “Century of Tragedy” (digital art); and Joel Perry of North Myrtle Beach, a senior whose work was titled “4 Lobsters” (digital manipulation).
