FLORENCE – As part of the recent Francis Marion University Homecoming activities, some campus student organizations participated in a canned food drive.

The effort garnered more than 500 cans of food to be donated to Manna House in Florence.  The Alpha Delta Pi sorority donated 325 cans.  Other sororities and fraternities participating included Kappa Delta, Pi Kappa Alpha, Sigma Gamma Rho, and Zeta Tau Alpha.

Due to inclement weather in South Carolina and the Florence area, most alumni and student homecoming activities scheduled for Jan. 29 at FMU were postponed. 

Several homecoming activities are being rescheduled for the weekend of April 7-8 around a baseball series against Lander University.
