FLORENCE – Five Francis Marion University students and one faculty member were recently inducted into Upsilon Pi Epsilon, a national computer science honor society.
The purpose of Upsilon Pi Epsilon is to promote outstanding academic achievement in the computing sciences. Raymond Bagley, an associate professor of computer science at FMU, was inducted along with the five students. The chapter advisor is Jeff Zadeh, also an associate professor of computer science.
Students inducted were: Michael S. Walters and Christopher Wilcox, both of Florence; Brian T. Harris and Quadaffi (Que) Jamal Gaither, both of Goose Creek; and Tabitha Courtney of Scranton.
