FLORENCE – The Florence Area Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants will meet at Francis Marion University on Thursday (Nov. 16).

 The dinner meeting will take place in the Palmetto Room of the Ervin Dining Hall on the FMU campus. The program begins with a social at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m. and a presentation at 7:45 p.m.

 The presentation, “Strategies to Reduce Your 2000 Income Taxes,” will be given by H. Wayne Cecil, CMA, CPA, an assistant professor of accounting at FMU. He has eight years of public accounting experience and has been published in several national publications.
