FLORENCE – Francis Marion University will host an Open House for prospective students and their families on Saturday, March 3.
The day will begin with registration and a continental breakfast at 8:30 a.m., followed by a welcome at 9 a.m. Concurrent sessions and an information fair will be held from 9:30 to 11:10 a.m. Topics will include academic programs, financial assistance, residence life, campus services, admissions and more. The fair will provide an informal way to gather information and ask questions. Many campus groups, such as athletics, honors, student organizations and other services will be represented.
From 11:15 a.m. to noon, tours of the campus and residence halls will be given. At noon, an ice-cream social will be held at the house of university president Fred Carter. Prospective students and their parents will have the chance to chat with Carter, FMU faculty and staff, and current students.
