African-American Read-In slated for Feb. 4

FLORENCE – The Swamp Fox Writing Project and the Pee Dee International Reading Association are co-sponsoring an African-American Read-In on Feb. 4 at the Dough Boys Bagel Shop at 2415-A Second Loop Road.  From 3 to 5 p.m., the public can listen to various members of the local community, as well as Francis Marion University faculty and staff, read selections by and about African-Americans.

Swamp Fox teacher consultants and PDIRA members will be displaying collections of African American books, as well. The Swamp Fox Writing Project is a collaboration between FMU and the National Writing Project.
