FLORENCE – The Francis Marion University School of Business will hold a Certified in Financial Management review seminar for Part 2 of the CFM exam on Jan. 27, Feb. 10 and Feb. 24.
The CFM designation provides an objective measure of an individual’s knowledge and competence in the field of financial management.
The three-day comprehensive study session will cover the following topics, which are on
Part 2 of the exam: use of financial statements, advanced topics in corporate financial management, risk management, external financial environment, and accounting standard setting environment. The seminar is sponsored by the Florence Area Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants.
Eugene Bland, an assistant professor of finance at FMU, will conduct the review. He holds a Ph.D. in finance and was recently awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
The cost of the seminar is $270, which includes tuition, books and exam-simulation computer software. The class hours are 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m.
Review for Part 3 of the CFM exam is planned for March 24, April 7 and April 21.
