FMU Public Relations Program Gets Bronze Award

FLORENCE---Francis Marion University has been recognized in the 16th annual awards program sponsored by Admissions Marketing Report, a national newspaper of admissions marketing based in Atlanta.

The Communications Services Office won a bronze award for its total public relations program. The award was presented for schools with enrollment between 2,000 and 4,999 students.

The gold award went to Longwood College, and the silver went to Regent University, both Virginia schools.

FMU’s entry included samples from its total public relations effort in support of the university’s admissions office, including catalogs, viewbooks, search pieces, visitor’s guides, a recruiting video, print and broadcast promotional ads, billboards, student handbooks and posters.

Entries from throughout the nation were judged by Admissions Marketing Report in various categories.  This is the second time in three years that FMU has won an award for its total public relations program from Admissions Marketing Report.
