FLORENCE, S.C. – Francis Marion University’s Department of Fine Arts and Mass Communication will present its annual Christmas choral concert on Sunday, Dec. 2.
The performance will begin at 3 p.m. in the Hyman Fine Arts Center’s Adele Kassab Recital Hall on campus. Admission is free.
The program will feature the FMU Concert Choir, as well as the university’s show choir, Cut Time. Both groups are directed by Sue Butler Orr.
The concert choir will open the program with Vivaldi’s “Gloria in excelsis.” Soloists will be soprano Erin Carter of Surfside, soprano Ginger Hite of Marion, and alto Nadia Jones of Florence.
The second half of the concert will feature Cut Time singing Christmas carols.
The choral groups will be accompanied by pianist Rebecca Culbertson and the FMU Orchestra Ensemble, conducted by Terry Roberts.
