FMU to host 9th-annual Pee Dee International Festival, Sept. 29
FLORENCE, S.C. – Francis Marion University will host the 9th-annual Pee Dee International Festival on Saturday, Sept. 29.
The festival will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and admission is free. This year’s festival will feature the Chinese Acrobat and Stunt Troupe, as well as other entertainment and activities, cultural displays, events for children, and food from around the world.
The purpose of the festival is to foster a better understanding of the cultures represented in the Pee Dee and increase appreciation for the global community.
The partners who present the festival are FMU, the Florence Family YMCA, the Florence Chamber of Commerce, and Florence-Darlington Technical College. The major corporate sponsors are Nan Ya Plastics Corp. of America, Roche Carolina Inc., and Honda of South Carolina Manufacturing Inc.
