FLORENCE, S.C. - For the second time in three weeks, Francis Marion University senior right-hander Kyle Lucas has been named the Peach Belt Conference "Pitcher of the Week."

The 6-2 Lancaster native tossed a complete game shutout against USC Aiken last Saturday as the Patriots prevailed 6-0.  Lucas struck out 14 batters and allowed only four hits, while upping his season record to 2-3.  He threw 111 pitches in a game that lasted only 2:15.

In his last two decisions, Lucas has fanned 30 batters.

The 18-20 Patriots will host Coker College, Thursday (April 5) at 3 p.m.
