FLORENCE, S.C. – Student Government Association officers were recently elected by the student body at Francis Marion University.

 Doquoi Green of Goose Creek was elected president; Douglas Chiles of Florence was elected vice president; Lashonda Williams of Lugoff was elected secretary; and Bianca Pushia of Andrews was elected treasurer.

 The SGA is the primary organization that represents all FMU students on planning, organizing and directing the student organizations and programs on campus. The SGA jointly participates with the faculty and administration in certain designated areas of governance of the university.
