FLORENCE, S.C. – Francis Marion University’s Wind Symphony will perform in concert, Thursday, April 18, at 8 p.m. in the McNair Science Building auditorium on the FMU campus.
Admission is free and open to the public.
The program will consist of eight numbers, including “Esprit de Corps,” “Cole Porter on Broadway,” and “Dance of the Tumblers.”
The concert will mark the establishment of a “new” ensemble at FMU. At the beginning of the spring semester, the group moved to an evening rehearsal time and opened the ensemble to community participation. Membership is now evenly divided between FMU students and community participants.
Community members interested in joining the FMU Wind Ensemble may call Craig Alberty, FMU’s director of instrumental activities, at 843-661-1540.
