FLORENCE, S.C. – Psi Chi, the national honor society in psychology, has inducted five members into its chapter at Francis Marion University.
The ceremony took place on March 26 at Bazen’s Restaurant in Florence.
New members are Dr. John R. Hester of Marion, chairman of the Department of Psychology and Sociology at FMU; Marian Elizabeth Morris of Effingham; and Gloria W. Lussier, Esther I. Robinson and Michael David Shriner, all of Florence.
Psi Chi was founded in 1929 for the purposes of encouraging, stimulating, and maintaining excellence in scholarship, and advancing the science of psychology. Membership is awarded to graduate and undergraduate men and women who are making the study of psychology one of their major interests and who meet the qualifications.
