FMU's Brunson wins paper competition

FLORENCE, S.C. – Mary Laurin Brunson of Florence, a Francis Marion University senior majoring in political science, won the undergraduate paper competition at the 2002 meeting of the South Carolina Political Science Association.

The conference was held Feb. 9 on the campus of Presbyterian College in Clinton. Brunson’s paper, “The 2000 U.S. Senate Elections,” was prepared under the direction of David White, an assistant professor of political science at FMU.
