FLORENCE, S.C. – The Swamp Fox Writing Project and the Pee Dee International Reading Association are co-sponsoring an African-American Read-In, Sunday (Feb. 3), in the Cauthen Education Media Center auditorium (Room 114) on the Francis Marion University campus.
From 3 to 5 p.m., the public can listen to various members of the local community, as well as FMU faculty and staff, read selections by and about African-Americans.
Swamp Fox teacher consultants and PDIRA members will be displaying collections of African-American books, as well. The Swamp Fox Writing Project is a collaboration between FMU and the National Writing Project.
