FLORENCE, S.C. – Joseph P. Owczarzak has joined the Francis Marion University faculty as an instructor of physics.

 Owczarzak, of Oak Forest, Ill., earned the B.A. degree in physics from Augustana College in Illinois, and is a candidate for the Ph.D. degree in physics from the University of Arkansas.

 At the University of Arkansas, he served as a research assistant, an academic tutor with the Athletics Academic Support Center, a teaching assistant in the Physics Department, and a peer tutor in Student Support Services.
