FMU to host Martin Luther King Jr. celebration

FLORENCE, S.C. – The Rev. Joseph H. Neal, chairman of the S.C. Legislative Black Caucus, will be the keynote speaker at the fourth annual Martin Luther King Jr. celebration at Francis Marion University, Tuesday, Jan. 15.

 The celebration will begin at 6 p.m. in the McNair Science Building auditorium on the FMU campus. FMU’s Young, Gifted and Black Chorus will perform, along with the Imani Singers. Joseph E. Heyward, senior vice president of student affairs at FMU, will preside. The event is sponsored by the FMU Office of Multicultural Affairs and the Pee Dee Minority and Small Business Division of the Greater Florence Chamber of Commerce.
