Ciompi Quartet to perform at FMU, Oct. 28

FLORENCE, S.C. – The Ciompi Quartet will perform in concert at Francis Marion University as part of the university’s Artist Series, Monday, Oct. 28.

 The concert will begin at 8 p.m. in the Hyman Fine Arts Center’s Kassab Recital Hall on campus. Admission is free and open to the public.

 The program will include selections by Haydn, Bartok and Beethoven.

 The Ciompi Quartet is in residence at Duke University, where it is recognized as one of the region’s premiere performing ensembles. The group consists of violinists Eric Pritchard and Hsiao-mei Ku, violist Jonathan Bagg, and cellist Fred Raimi.
