FLORENCE, S.C. – Ashley Pruett has joined the Francis Marion University staff as coordinator of Student Life.
Her responsibilities will include providing leadership for students, clubs and organizations; coordinating programs to enhance the life of university students; assisting with administration of the student disciplinary process; promoting Student Life activities and programs; and serving as an adviser for Greek Life.
Originally from Tulsa, Okla., Pruett grew up in Marietta, Ga. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Coker College and a master’s degree in counseling psychology from James Madison University.
Pruett was previously the associate dean of students and director of Residence Life at Young Harris College in Georgia. She has also worked in the Residence Life offices of James Madison and Winthrop universities.
“I am happy to have Ashley as a member of the Student Affairs team,” said Joseph Heyward, FMU’s vice president of Student Affairs. “She brings with her new ideas and can rely on her past experiences to be very helpful to the student development program.”
