Tour of FMU's Wallace Woods Nature Trail to be offered Sept. 21 FLORENCE, S.C. – A guided nature walk along Francis Marion University’s Wallace Woods nature trail will be given Saturday, Sept. 21 at 10 a.m. The half-mile walk is free and open to the public and showcases many of the plants and animals that are native to the Pee Dee region. Anyone interested should meet at the Hewn Timber Houses on Wallace Woods Road, which is on the east side of the FMU campus. Visitors should enter Gate 6 off U.S. Highways 76/301.
