FLORENCE, S.C. – The Francis Marion University Foundation has announced a trip to England, Scotland and Wales for FMU alumni and friends.

Highlights of the 10-day trip will include the bustling metropolis of London, the pomp and circumstance of Edinburgh, and the cozy charm of the Cotswolds. Travelers will also see Buckingham Palace, the Tower of London, Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, and the home of William Shakespeare.

Other tour activities include a spectacular London Theatre performance, Scottish entertainment, the picturesque English Lake District, the Roman Bath Museum, and an overnight stay at Ruthin Castle where visitors will enjoy a fine medieval banquet.

The trip will depart March 25, 2003, and is being offered through the FMU Foundation by Collette Vacations.

The cost per person is $1,979 (double) or $2,379 (single), and includes round-trip air from Charlotte, N.C., cancellation waivers and departure tax. The cost also includes 14 meals (eight breakfasts and six dinners). The first deposit of $430 per person is due upon reservation, first-come, first-served. The final payment is due on Jan. 24, 2003.
