FLORENCE, S.C. – The Francis Marion University Summer Tennis Tournament, sanctioned by the USTA, STA, and SCTA, will be held July 19-21 on the FMU campus and at the Country Club of South Carolina.
The registration deadline is noon on July 15. The entry fee is $25 for singles and $15 for doubles (per player).
Proceeds from the event will help support the Patriot men’s and women’s tennis programs.
USTA rules and code will govern all play. Competition will be held in men’s and women’s 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 30’s, 40’s, 50’s, 60’s, and open-singles, doubles, and mixed doubles.
Play will begin Friday, July 19. Matches will run from 7:30 a.m. until noon and from 3 p.m. through the evening on July 20 and 21. Clay courts at CCSC will be used in the 40’s, 50’s, and 60’s age brackets.
Awards will be presented in each group to the winner and runner-up. All participants will receive a T-shirt.
