FMU Student Art Guild to hold exhibition, Nov. 24

     FLORENCE, S.C. – Francis Marion University’s Student Art Guild will hold an exhibition Monday, Nov. 24.

     The event will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Smith University Center commons. Admission is free and open to the public.

     The exhibition will showcase the work of students in FMU’s visual arts program. Light refreshments will be served and there will be a door prize drawing.

     Guests will be able to vote on the artwork and prizes will be awarded to first-, second- and third-place entries. Ribbons will be awarded in individual categories including graphic design, ceramics, painting, printmaking, drawing and photography.

     Guests also will be able to purchase artwork directly from the individual student artists.

     On Tuesday, Nov. 25, a senior show opening reception for graduating art majors Sandy Lam of Florence and Jonathan Boatwright of Marion will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Hyman Fine Arts Center gallery. This event is also free and open to the public. The senior show exhibits will be on display through Dec. 13.
