FMU Planetarium Examines Lunar Eclipses and Meteor Showers, Nov. 9

    FLORENCE, S.C. – The Dooley Planetarium on the campus of Francis Marion University will present a program titled “Lunar Eclipses and Meteor Showers,” Sunday, Nov. 9, at 3 p.m.

    Admission to the program is free.  The planetarium is located on the second floor of the Cauthen Educational Media Center.

    The program will include a look at the November sky and will examine the lunar eclipse that occurs Nov. 8 and the meteor shower that will occur on Nov. 18.

    The planetarium holds regular public programs on the second and fourth Sundays of each month.  The planetarium’s annual “Christmas Star” program will be presented Nov. 23, Dec. 14, and Dec. 21.
