FMU African-American Faculty and Staff Coalition establishes scholarship

FLORENCE, S.C. – The Francis Marion University African-American Faculty and Staff Coalition has established a scholarship at the university.

 The scholarship is designated for minority students with financial need, to assist them in achieving their educational and career goals. The scholarship will be funded annually in the amount of $1,000, with two $500 scholarships being awarded.

 Recipients must be full-time FMU students who have a 2.5 grade-point average or higher. Preference will be given to minority students who are U.S. citizens and who are in the greatest financial need.
