FLORENCE---Kim M. Ellisor of Florence has been named director of financial assistance at Francis Marion University.
She replaces Kathryn B. Phillips who recently retired.
Ellisor has been associate director of financial assistance at FMU since 2000. Prior to that she was a financial aid counselor at FMU from 1996 to 2000 and with Chris Logan Career College from 1994 to 1996.
“We are pleased to offer this position to Kim Ellisor,” said Provost Richard Chapman. “With her qualifications and experience, there will be a smooth transition in the leadership of our financial aid programs.”
A native of Sumter, Ellisor earned an associate’s degree in business management at the University of South Carolina at Sumter, a bachelor’s degree in elementary education at Francis Marion University and a master’s in business administration degree from Webster University.
FMU’s Financial Assistance Office administers more than $17 million in financial aid annually to deserving students in the form of scholarships, grants, loans and student employment programs.
