FLORENCE, S.C. – Francis Marion University sophomore back Mike Greenaway has been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-Southeast Region Team.
Greenaway, a native of Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada, was selected to the 11-member third team.
Greenaway anchored the FMU defense, which recorded six shutouts. He also recorded one goal and one assist, while taking 21 shots.
The young FMU squad (only one senior) finished the year 9-10-0, after opening the season with seven wins in 10 matches. Five of the team’s losses were by one goal, and the Patriot defense allowed only seven goals over the final five matches.
Earlier, Greenaway was selected to the All-Peach Belt Conference squad.
