FMU Baseball Moves Up To No.13
FLORENCE, S.C. – The Francis Marion University baseball team completed a rain-shorten week with a 2-0 mark and moved up eight positions to No. 13 in this week’s Collegiate Baseball Magazine NCAA Division II Top 30 poll.

The 11-5 Patriots swept two games from 22nd-ranked USC Aiken last weekend and had two other games rained out.  This is the fourth consecutive week FMU has appeared in the poll.  The Patriots have been ranked as high as No. 12.

Florida Southern College ascended to this week’s No. 1 position.  Eight Peach Belt Conference schools are listed in this week’s poll.

Francis Marion plays at Newberry College (9-5), Wednesday at 3 p.m.

FMU will then travel to Milledgeville, Ga., to face second-ranked Georgia College &
State University in another key three-game PBC series, Saturday and Sunday.
