FMU Trustees To Meet Nov. 12
FLORENCE---The Francis Marion University Board of Trustees will hold its quarterly meeting at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 12, in the Stokes Building Board Room.
The trustees will consider two resolutions—one to approve a $360 salary increase for all permanent employees to help offset an increase in health insurance rates for state employees and one to approve an addendum to the loan agreement with the FMU Foundation for the endowed Palmetto Professor of Biology and the Palmetto Professor of Accounting. The trustees will also hear reports from the university president, from their standing committees and the Athletic Study Committee.
The trustees will hold committee meetings earlier in the day Friday. The Executive Affairs Committee will meet at 8:45 a.m. in the Stokes Board Room. At 9:15 a.m., the Financial Affairs and Responsibility Committee will meet in the Stokes Board Room, and the Planning and Accreditation Committee will meet in the Provost Conference Room of Stokes. At 10 a.m., the Academic Affairs and Shared Governance Committee will meet in the Stokes Board Room, while the Student Affairs and Athletics Committee meets in the Provost Conference Room. At 10:45 a.m., the Alumni Development Committee meets in the Provost Conference Room, while the University Development Committee meets in the Stokes Board Room.
